Sechenov University continues to boost its positions in various academic rankings. This includes the recently published World University Ranking 2021 (Subject — Social Sciences) by Round University Ranking (RUR).

In this year’s table, Sechenov University has been placed on position 370. This is much better than last year’s result (485). In the 2021 ranking, the final list consists of 785 universities from around the world, while Russia has 80 entries.

RUR Subject Rankings reflect the performance of universities in 6 subject areas: Humanities, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, and Social Sciences. The number of entries varies between 505 (Medical Sciences) and 669 (Technical Sciences). The methodology is based on 20 indicators which are grouped into 4 key parameters: teaching (40%), research (40%), international diversity (10%), and financial sustainability (10%).

The Round University Ranking is compiled by the RUR Ranking Agency, based in Moscow, in collaboration with Clarivate Analytics.
