Conference on medical education and digital transformation: announcement

On Monday, 22 November 2021, Sechenov University will be hosting the online conference ‘Medical Education During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Routes for Digital Transformation’. The speakers will focus on academic and practical aspects of the following themes:

  • Medical education in Russia — changes during the pandemic;

  • Medical education during the COVID-19 pandemic — transition to a hybrid education format (assessment by students);

  • Digital transformation of medical universities during the pandemic — opinion of teaching staff;

  • Digitalisation as a mechanism for ensuring the quality of medical education during the COVID-19 pandemic;

  • COVID-19 pandemic — challenges and opportunities for medical schools.

The conference is organised by Sechenov University and Tomsk State University (Russia).

If you are a member of the academic community, a teacher at a Russian or foreign medical school, a manager at a medical organisation, or a specialist in sociology of medicine, you are welcome to participate. Registration is free of charge.

When referring to the conference programme, please note that all times are indicated for the Moscow time zone (MSK, UTC+3).

The agenda will feature a number of speakers from Sechenov University, as well as guest speakers from the University of New South Wales (Australia) and University of Coimbra (Portugal).

There will be also presentations from Russia’s regional medical schools, located in the cities of St Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Saratov, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Arkhangelsk, Tver, Astrakhan, Stavropol, Kursk, Ryazan, Barnaul, Irkutsk, Blagoveshchensk, and Chelyabinsk.
