Faculty of Higher Nursing Training, Psychology and Social Work

The Faculty of Higher Nursing Training, Psychology and Social Work was the first school in Russia to provide graduate programs for nurses. It was founded in 1991. Today the Faculty is comprised of 4 chairs.

The Faculty provides undergraduate education in Nursing. Graduates receive bachelor’s degree. This program lasts 3 years (for certified nurses) or 4 years and can be provided on a full-time, part-time or distance learning arrangement.

The Faculty also provides bachelor’s degrees in Social Work after completion of a 4-year full-time degree program and a degree in Clinical Psychology after completion of a 5.5-year full-time program.

Graduates can pursue their careers as chief nurses, educators and experts in other fields.

The Faculty is headed by Ass. Prof. Natalya A. Kasimovskaya, M.D.

The faculty includes corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Education, most faculty members have PhD or Doctor of Medicine research degrees.
