Webinar-meeting with students of General Medicine is scheduled at Monday, December 18th, 18:00 of Moscow time.
Webinar is for all students of General Medicine where they will be able to send their questions in the chat.
ICM staff will provide info on current performance control, expelling, steps to get back to University, personal safety rules and ongoing days-off. After that they will answer questions in the webinar chat.

______________________________________________________________________________On September 25 was held the next online meeting of the Institute of Clinical Medicine with the leaders of foreign groups of ICM. The meeting on the Webinar platform was conducted by the vice-director of ICM Vasilev Yuri Leonidovich and specialist for work with foreign students Velenko Pavel Sergeevich.
The agenda of the meeting included issues of academic performance, student safety, innovations in the learning environment and answers to questions from students, which were collected in advance by the group leaders to be voiced at the meeting.
Important information was conveyed to students, including:
- the need to solve academic debts as soon as possible;
- the procedure for organizing retakes in the 2023-2024 academic year;
- procedure for admission to Centralised Test, conducting face-to-face CT;
- clarification on the possibility of canceling one grade in the 6th year;
- general information on safe behavior and vigilance in public places, including at night.
During the two-hour meeting, ICM staff were able to give comprehensive answers to an impressive number of questions from foreign students. Junior courses were interested in the possibility of integration into the scientific environment of our University, the procedure for passing exams and the appointment of retakes in the new academic year. Senior courses focused most of their questions on improving practical skills, passing State exams, entering residency and employment.
The practice of holding such online meetings for foreign students appeared along with their inclusion to the ICM. Quick meetings allow ICM staff to quickly convey information and answer the most interesting questions in real time. For foreign students who study many thousands of kilometers from their homes, receiving additional support from the University administration turned out to be an important and necessary condition for their successful studying process.

On May 30, 2022, one of the most important events in the life of the N.V. Sklifosovsky Institute of Clinical Medicine took place in the walls of the Column Hall of the House of Unions (1/30 Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street) - a solemn graduation ceremony for specialists. The ceremony consisted of two parts: a common one for students of all institutes and a separate solemn part for students of the N.V. Sklifosovsky ICM and the International School "Medicine of the Future". The rector of Sechenov University, Pyotr Vitalievich Glybochko, made a welcoming speech for the graduates, and then, according to tradition, congratulated and presented medals "to the Successful" to graduates-excellent students of the ICM and ISFM. The Rector stressed that he believes in graduates and has high hopes for them.
Students who received a diploma with honors, group leaders and activists were particularly noted. The ceremony ended with a touching performance of the anthem of Sechenov University.
The Institute of Clinical Medicine sincerely rejoices for its graduates and cordially thanks them for their journey per aspera ad astra!

Within the framework of the All-Russian scientific and Practical conference MedSpring 2022, a competition of student scientific clubs working in the bilingual format "Bilingual Cognition" was held for the first time. Five of the six reports selected for presentation in the final of the competition were performed in the student scientific clubs of the Institute of Clinical Medicine. The presentations were considered by the jury, which included not only representatives of clinical and fundamental areas, but also experts from the Institute of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication, who assessed the speakers' proficiency in English, including the ability to conduct a discussion.
The winner was the SSC of the Department of Hospital Surgery under the guidance of Ph.D., Assoc. prof. Irina Tarasova. The Audience Choice Award was given to the Scientific and Practical Club of Laparoscopic Surgery (Department of General Surgery).
We congratulate the winners and hope that the bilingual format of the SNK will be actively developed in the future!

Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, from April 11 to April 17 conducted the traditional Final of the M.I. Perelman Student Olympiad in Surgery with international participation. The departments of Human Anatomy, the Praxi Medica Medical Practice Training Center and the Department of Forensic Medicine were also involved, where some stages of the Olympiad were also held over the past week. A large number of qualifying stages of the Jubilee, 30th All-Russian (Moscow) Olympiad in Surgery were held in different cities of Russia, such as Kursk, Arkhangelsk, Khabarovsk, etc.
21 teams from Russian universities took part in the festive anniversary Final for 6 days: St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, etc., as well as the assembly team of Kazakhstan. Thus, more than 500 students of medical universities participated in the Olympiad.
The teams competed for prizes in theoretical surgical competitions, showing deep knowledge of anatomy, physiology, as well as classifications and clinical understanding, and of course in practical skills of applying anastomoses, proficiency in endovideosurgical and microsurgical techniques, speed and virtuosity in the handling of surgical instruments.
The student team of Sechenov University, in addition to the warm welcome and organization of the competition itself, took the deserved first place in the overall standings according to the results in all competitions. Our future surgeons were the best in the most of the tasks, including the most difficult competitions in endovideosurgery, microsurgery, transplantology, urology, plastic surgery, cardio- and angiosurgery, neurosurgery, abdominal surgery. The second place was taken by the team of the I.I. Mechnikov Northwestern State Medical University (St. Petersburg). The third place was won by the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov (Moscow). The awarding of all winning teams (first, second and third places) of individual surgical competitions with the presentation of Diplomas and gifts was also held.
The participants of the Olympiad and their mentor prof. Sergey Dydykin are grateful to the rector of Sechenov University, Pyotr Glybochko, and the administration of the University for the opportunity to hold the Olympiad using modern equipment and consumables.
