The Institute of Pharmacy at Sechenov University has created a scientific and educational research centre, “Pharma-Premium”.

According to Galina Ramenskaya, Director of the Institute of Pharmacy, this new unit should become a flagship structure in the transformation and development of Sechenov University. Breakthrough research — basic and applied — in the field of pharmacy and biomedicine will be carried out here. To this end, “Pharma-Premium” will bring together the best specialists in medicine and pharmacy from Sechenov University, as well as talented students, researchers from other Russian organisations, opinion leaders, industrial and academic partners.

As part of the Priority 2030 programme, “Pharma-Premium” will begin to implement the innovative ideas put forward by the students and the research and teaching staff of Sechenov University. The unit will teach students to see the world through the prism of research, and also open up prospects for launching startups based on the research work carried out by students.

“Pharma-Premium” will house a unique VR laboratory for the pharmaceutical industry, a training centre for developing practical skills, and sites for pilot laboratory production of original medicines and cosmeceuticals.
