Dear students!

This is to inform you about the international online conference within the project "Russian Academic and Cultural Luminaries and Their Worldwide Legacy" which will take place on December 8, 2020 at 09:30 in the online format. The project is launched by the Miklouho-Maclay Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Highlighting outstanding Russian academic and cultural luminaries, who have influenced science and culture in Russia and around the world, the Conference aims at developing humanitarian, scientific and cultural interaction between Russia and the world countries, featuring reports and presentations in Russian and English, that will allow you to learn more about traditions and culture of Russia. In 2020, the conference will feature Indonesia-Russia bilateral relations.

The Conference will be opened by Lyudmila Vorobyova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Indonesia, Nickolay Miklouho-Maclay, Head and founder of the Miklouho-Maclay Foundation, Vitaly Glinkin, Head, Representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Indonesia and Second Secretary at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Jakarta, Olga Khodakova, Vice-rector for International Education, Sechenov University.

The Conference will include the following panels:

• The history of bilateral relations between Russia and Indonesia

• Voyages of N.N. Miklouho-Maclay, Russian scientist and humanist

• Myths about Russia: reality and fiction

• The Russian language in contemporary world

The participants of the event will receive an electronic Certificate of Attendance.
