Sechenov International Institute of Professional Development will be hosting a 3-day workshop series in collaboration  with the world’s leading science journal Nature.
The workshop will be run by Dr Jeffrey Robens, Editorial Development Manager at Nature Research who conducts Nature Research Academies training workshops all over the world. Dr Robens received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, he is the author of numerous publications and scientific awards. He has 20 years of academic experience, and has worked in the leading research institutes in Singapore and Japan.
On day 1, the workshop will focus on topics such as Clinical Research Methodology, where Dr Robens will give an insight into how to plan a clinical study, choose the right study design, appropriate sampling of participants, avoid common biases and collect and analyse data.
On day 2, Dr Robens will discuss the Systematic Reviews, and will cover topics such as literature search, extraction and analysis of data, rating of the quality of evidence, data presentation and publication of systematic reviews.
On day 3, Dr Robens will talk about how to communicate your science and your research with the public, create effective writing strategies and find platforms for communicating science.

Workshops are available only to current Sechenov researchers who want to gain more experience in academic writing. The workshops will be held in English on 19 and 21 November from 9am till 5pm at the Sechenov Medical History Museum (2 Bolshaya Pirogovskaya St., bld. 3) and on 20 November from 9am till 5pm at the Sechenov Institute of Urology and Reproductive Health (2 Bolshaya Pirogovskaya St., bld. 1).
