Introduction: The claustrum is a structure involved in formation of several cortical and subcortical neural microcircuits which may be involved in such functions as conscious sensations and rewarding behavior. The claustrum is regarded as a multi-modal information processing network. Pathology of the claustrum is seen in certain neurological disorders. To date, there are not enough comprehensive studies that contain accurate information regarding involvement of the claustrum in development of neurological disorders. Objective: Our review aims to provide an update on claustrum anatomy, ontogenesis, cytoarchitecture, neural networks and their functional relation to the incidence of neurological diseases. Materials and methods: A literature review was conducted using the Google Scholar, PubMed, NCBI MedLine, and eLibrary databases. Results: Despite new methods that have made it possible to study the claustrum at the molecular, genetic and epigenetic levels, its functions and connectivity are still poorly understood. The anatomical location, relatively uniform cytoarchitecture, and vast network of connections suggest a divergent role of the claustrum in integration and processing of input information and formation of coherent perceptions. Several studies have shown changes in the appearance, structure and volume of the claustrum in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease (PD), Alzheimer’s disease (AD), autism, schizophrenia, and depressive disorders. Taking into account the structure, ontogenesis, and functions of the claustrum, this literature review offers insight into understanding the crucial role of this structure in brain function and behavior.

© 2020 Elsevier Inc. Information Centric Networking (ICN) provides caching strategies to improve network performance based on consumer demands from the intermediate routers. It reduces the load on content server, network traffic, and improves end-to-end delay. The content requesters use an Interest packet containing the name of data to express their needs. If such Interest packets are routed efficiently, the end to end delay and throughput of the network could be improved further. This paper describes an efficient method of forwarding Interest packets to retrieve the requested content at the earliest possible time. Here the data source is found and considered as a single player game with content requester as its start state and location of the desired content as final or goal state. The Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) algorithm is used for constructing the path from content requester to concerned data source. For performance evaluation, the proposed scheme is integrated with Leave Copy Down (LCD) and Leave Copy Everywhere (LCE), Cache Less for More (CL4M), and Probability based caching (ProbCache) In ns-3 simulation environment (ndnSim), all these are evaluated in terms of content search latency, server hit ratio, network load, overhead and throughput. Simulation observation reveals that the integration of MCTS significantly improves performance in regard to experimental parameters.

© 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG. The chapter is devoted to the attacks modeling for Cyber-Physical systems of industrial enterprises with regard to risk assessment. In this chapter the analysis of corporate systems of industrial is held; systems’ attacks and risk assessment techniques were studied; software for attacks modeling are compared. Information models of corporate networks and attacks are developed; describes the design and basic functions of the module for assessing the risks of attacks in the corporate system. Corporate networks of more than 70% of industrial enterprises are potentially vulnerable to hacker attacks. Today, according to research by Positive Technologies analysts, hackers can cross the perimeter and get into the corporate network of 73% of the companies in the industrial segment. In 82% of companies, penetration from the corporate network to the technological one is possible. One of the main opportunities for obtaining unauthorized access to the enterprise network turned out to be administrative control channels. Solving the problem of ensuring the information security of Cyber-Physical systems is an urgent task today.

© 2019 by author(s). The purpose of the study was to analyze the medical representatives' activities aimed on information support for promoted medications. The assessment of the medical representatives' activity by doctors, pharmacists, and chemists was used to do so. The following methods of the study were used: Comparative, structural and system analysis, as well as sociological methods of research (survey and interview). As a result of the study, it has been found that the activity of medical representatives is one of the main ways to obtain information about medications by medical or pharmaceutical workers, but the objectivity and completeness of the information received largely depends on the contact frequency and trust in the information materials provided. Following the results of the study, recommendations have been developed for improving the activities of medical representatives and their interaction with pharmaceutical organizations and doctors.

© 2011–2018 NSPU Bulletin All rights reserved Introduction. The authors investigate the problem of effective use of distance technologies in the educational process. The purpose of the article is to identify the potential of the Moodle electronic distance learning platform as a source for improving the quality of technical education. Materials and Methods. The authors used a set of research methods, including: 1) analysis of scientific literature on the topic of the article; 2) proposition of a hypothesis about the possibility of expanding the didactic functions of the Moodle distance learning platform by integrating interactive content into it; 3) constructing a methodological model which includes innovative educational content, characterized by an interactive format; 4) experimental approbation of teaching methods with elements of statistical analysis of the results of the control and experimental groups of students using the Pearson criteria – χ 2 . Results. As a result of the research, the following statements were identified: 1) determining factors for the realization of the capabilities of the Moodle platform in the educational process for the disciplines of physical, mathematical and technical fields; 2) the authors developed an algorithm for evaluating students’ work and showed the possibilities of placing models in a distance learning system to perform laboratory work necessary for the qualitative studying these disciplines; 3) the statistical analysis showed a positive result in terms of improving the quality of mastering basic knowledge elements. Conclusions. The authors summarize the characteristic features of the potential of the Moodle e-learning platform as a source for improving the quality of technical education.

© 2018 The Author(s). Medical drugs interactions and adverse drug reactions are one of the major problems in pharmacotherapy. At the Sechenov University (Russia, Moscow), digital System for drug prescription management is being developed. Artificial intelligence methods to the control of drug therapy will greatly enhance the ability of the automated control System to identify potential problems in drug therapy and provide recommendations for their elimination. Introduction of this System into commercial operation will make it possible to translate the civil circulation of medicines into a single information space and increase the effectiveness of the ongoing pharmacotherapy.

© Authors. The information society reveals the social impact of the dissemination of information technologies. The purpose of this article is to study the negative social, psychological, and pedagogical implications of the Internet on young people. The authors analyzed the internet addiction problem among students (14-19 years) from the standpoint of the social health of the individuals and society as a whole. In a pilot study, which involved more than 600 adolescent participants aged 14-19 years (secondary school, college and university students), the authors have defined internet addiction as a complex phenomenon. The prerequisites of its development identify and highlights its formation in stages among students (mild fascination, passion, addiction, attachment). At the ascertaining stage of the experiment, a screening study was carried out to examine the state of internet addiction in young students in social networks. The results showed the necessity to design and implement internet addiction prevention programs for young students, which include three main blocks (motivational and cognitive, practice-oriented, reflexive), and a systematic plan for its implementation in the educational space framework. The stages of the experiment provided evidence of the authors' proposed effectiveness of methodologies for young people aged 14-19 years. This article may be useful to pedagogues, psychologists, and parents of students, social workers, and researchers working in the field of addiction prevention among young people.
