The development of laser medicine has led to its use in dentistry further to improve existing treatment methods, including surgical techniques. The variety of lasers allows them to be used for procedures on the soft and bone tissues of the oral cavity as well as on the tissues of the teeth. The short duration of laser pulse action on tissues, selective action on pathological tissues in a sterile surgical field, and activation of local and humoral immunity of the oral cavity provides an increase in the regeneration potential of tissues of the postoperative area, which contributes to the shortening of wound process phases, favorable course of the postoperative period, and shortening of the healing time. Our article presents the experience of using the Nd:YAG laser in different modes in replicating the effect of curettage of periodontal pockets in an experiment on laboratory animals. According to the study results, there was a difference in the healing time of soft tissues after their exposure to several modes of the Nd:YAG laser, which makes it possible to recommend each of them for individual clinical cases.

© 2019 The Author(s) The article highlights the experimental results on calf demand provision by mammary gland secretion during the first days of post-natal development. Changes in mammary gland secretion content during the transition process from colostrum to natural milk were showed. Lactoferrin level changes were demonstrated. Population-based composition of colostrum somatic cells was determined. A hypothesis concerning apoptosis role of the somatic cells and neutrophils’ burst was presented. The present study highlights calf provision with mammary gland secretion during the first 10 days of the postnatal development. The cytological picture of oral tissues in experimental animals was studied when creating a cariogenic model with a formed artificial defect of hard tissues (Black class V), filled with a restorer filling material Restavrin coated with Easy Glaze sealant and without it. The intensification of the formation of plaque and the manifestation of the inflammatory process in a group of animals with defects, but without coating with sealant was revealed by the 30th day of observation. By this time of the experiment, the number of segmented neutrophils and desquamated epithelium cells sharply increased while the ratio of dead to live cells increased, which increases the degree of cariogenic danger and intensity of inflammation in the area of buccal epithelium, gums and periodontium. A mandatory coating of a photo-composite restoration with a sealant is recommended, which serves as a barrier that protects the filling material from the influence of exogenous factors, preserves the aesthetic and mechanical qualities of composite restorations.
