A number of studies have shown the relationship between the regular consumption of cruciferous vegetables and the risk of malignant tumors in certain localizations, the activation of mechanisms of alimentary adaptation of the organism under conditions of alien loads, by inducing enzymes of the biotransformation system of xenobiotics. The cruciferous vegetables are distinguished by the presence of minor components, such as indole-3-carbinol, formed during the hydrolysis of glucosinolates. The aim of the investigation was a retrospective study of the content of indoles in students' diet with subsequent quantitative analysis in different comparison groups. The study involved 250 students from a medical university aged 21 to 27 years. To assess the actual nutrition, the developed questionnaires were used, which included the most common products in the Moscow region, sources of indole glucosinolates. It was found that 44% of the respondents didn't include cruciferous vegetables in the diet, and of those who consumed sources of indoles (56% of respondents), only about half received them in the recommended amount. It should also be noted that as in men, in women the most commonly used in the diet product as a source of indoles was cabbage, it was included in the diet of 68% of the respondents who used cruciferous vegetables, rarely pekin cabbage was used (16.3%) and broccoli (16.3%). Cauliflower, radishes, Kale and horseradish was included in the diet of 7.8-14.9% of the students. Less often turnip was consumed - only by 2.1% of the students. No significant differences in the consumption of indoles in the student with deficient, normal or overweight was revealed. Also, there was no correlation between excess weight and the consumption of various indoles sources. The obtained results testify to the extremely low level of alimentary intake of indole-3-carbinol.

© 2018 Media Sphera Publishing Group. All rights reserved. Aim. Analysis of the treatment response rates of different therapy regimens of functional constipation, including Ipidacrine, a cholinesterase inhibitor, based on assessment of adaptation and compensatory mechanisms in the therapy forecast. Materials and methods. 77 functional slow-transit constipation patients were examined after therapy regimens of functional constipation, the mean age is 44.30±14.58 y.o. Results and discussion. The treatment response rates of different therapies with Ipidacrine depends on the patient's initial adaptation and compensatory mechanisms (ACM index); certain aspects allowing to predict the expected result depending on the current mental state were identified; the severity of the state of functional constipation, ACM index and MMPI test psychometric indicators are correlated; adaptation and compensatory mechanisms of functional constipation patients were found to be reduced; the prognosis of the treatment response rates and, accordingly, the choice of the therapy regimen depend on the patient's adaptation potential (index). Conclusions. Therapy regimens for functional constipation patients should be selected on the basis of the original ACM index, behavioral pattern, degree of compliance and the patient’s age.

In the article, an overview of the information on the method and application technology of SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses Opportunities, Threats) analysis is presented. The specific characters of the method, the object domain of its application, the task, the methodology are disclosed. An interesting idea is the scheme of the options used to achieve more complete benefit from the method. The strengths and the shortcomings of the SWOT analysis noted by experts in the field of its application are given. Further on, the authors propose an innovative technology for using the SWOT model to develop personalized forecasting, preservation, development, and management of health, based on the provisions of the functional direction of genetics - phenomics. The advantages of technology, the urgency of its application are revealed. The new technology is based on provisions of the development of the theory of the essential adaptation. To ensure the state of health the functioning level of the body's systems must be consistent with the optimality, namely with their response norms, which determine the individual phenotype. In the process of the organism adaptation to the conditions of the external environment, the central nervous system (it's a known fact) and the significant body system (the system with the maximum response norm), determining, respectively, the specific and nonspecific responses of the organism will be released by their activity. In the interaction of body systems, it is important to take the ordering into consideration. Dominant systems can actively involve other systems of the body to the process of adaptation according to the principle of the interaction with them, by strengthening or decreasing their activity. Taking into account the direction of interaction (inhibition, toning), this fact becomes important for understanding the pathogenesis of diseases, their targeted prevention, and treatment. A comprehensive record of the mechanisms of the formation of a specific and nonspecific reaction is used in the interest of identifying and effectively preventing functional disorders in the body. The SWOT analysis technology of personalized forecasting, preservation, development and health management eliminates the main drawbacks of SWOT analysis. On the other hand, the SWOT analysis technology helps to expand the range of application of phenomics, depending on the opportunities and threats of the environment.

© 2018 Koninklijke Brill NV, Leiden, The Netherlands. It is intended in this study to present initial reliability and validity data for the Russian adaptation of the Multidimensional Inventory of Religious/Spiritual Well-being (MI-RSWB-R), as being related to personality factors and psychopathology. Therefore, the first version of the MI-RSWB-R was applied to a sample of 192 (147 females) non-clinical subjects, together with the NEO Five Factor Inventory and the Symptom-Check-List (SCL-90-R). The original six-factor structure of the scale could be replicated for the MI-RSWB-R, which also provides satisfying psychometric properties. In accordance with previous research the RSWB total score was linked to more favorable personality traits such as Extraversion (r =.45), Openness to Experience (r =.39), and Agreeableness (r =.38), which was paralleled by substantial negative correlations with increased psychopathology. Our findings support the reliability and structural validity of the MI-RSWB-R as a standardized instrument for addressing the spiritual dimension in Russian populations. Further research in clinical surroundings is now recommended.
