© 2020 The Author(s) Existing literature highlights the fact that patients with COVID-19 exhibit alterations in the coagulation process and are associated with respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, including acute respiratory distress syndrome and acute cor pulmonale. In this report, we describe the effects of systemic thrombolysis on acute cor pulmonale in a patient suffering from COVID-19. We demonstrated that systemic thrombolysis successfully improved the hemodynamics of our patient and resulted in a prominent reduction in hypercapnia, alveolar dead space, and ventilatory ratio.

Results of medico-sociological studying of specifics of social installations of the population concerning HIV-infected citizens are presented in article. The conducted research shows that now the deficiency of objective information on a problem of HIV-infection/AIDS is observed, and negative installations of russians concerning HIV-infected persons still remain widespread social practice. Authors note that despite efforts of the state, medical and public organizations on increase in level of tolerance of the population concerning HIV-infection/AIDS, the fact of establishment of the diagnosis «HIV-infection», besides problems of medical character, causes change of the social status HIV-infected and also attracts extensive social and reputation losses – that, in general, distances the HIV-infection carrier from other population and intensifies social inequality.

© 2018 Izdatel'stvo Meditsina. All Rights Reserved. Introduction. Now radio lines of the management of explosions find more and more broad application for the execution of acts of terrorism. The special technical means which are powerful sources of EMP in the range of frequencies of 0.02 – 6.00 GHz by which workers in the course of their production and operation and also the population which has appeared in a radiation zone can be affected, are developed for the suppression of radio-frequency signals of control of explosive devices. Aim of the study. Scientific justification and development of hygienic requirements for the safe use of systems of suppression of radio lines of control of explosive devices (SS RCED). Material and methods. The calculation methods for determining the EMF intensities created by different types of SS RCED (1500 calculations) were used, more than 250 measurements were carried out at different distances from 5 types of SS RCED in the open area and in the offices. Results. Hygienic investigations have allowed to point out 5 categories of the irradiated contingents for which hygienic regulations of EMP on the basis of the analysis of the standard and methodical documents acting in the Russian Federation have been proved. Calculations and natural measurements of the EMP levels from various types of SS RCED in rooms and in the open territory are taken. The technique of forecasting of conditions of radiation taking into account their technical characteristics (range of frequencies, power, etc.), the time of the exposure and distances from sources is offered. The algorithm of carrying out a hygienic assessment of conditions of radiation of personnel and population from SS RCED and a complex of preventive actions are developed. Discussion. Protection of workers by production, service, and operation of SS RCED, has to be carried out by restriction of the time of the impact of EMP taking into account power expositions at different distances from a source, and the population - by determination of safe zones of stay taking into account categories of the irradiated contingents. The technical actions including the organization of remote control of SS RCED and application of means collective (shielding) and/or individual protection are offered. Conclusion. The conducted complex research allowed justifying hygienic requirements for the production and operation of SS RCED and developing the project of SanPiN 2.1.8/2.2.4.xxxx-18 «Sanitary rules and standards of safe use of systems of suppression of radio lines of management of explosive devices of the range of frequencies of 0,02–6,00 GHz».

© 2018 Russian Academy of Sciences. Wide circulation of HIV-infection/AIDS is a socially important problem for the majority of the countries of the world now. Against the background of the remaining high rates of infection spread beyond the borders of risk groups, a series of the negative phenomena aggravating an epidemiological situation on HIV-infection and other socially important diseases is observed (tuberculosis, hepatitises, etc.): depression of the general indicators of health of the population, urbanization, complicating of life rhythm, wide circulation of dependences on psychoactive agents, and, above all - serious transformation of institute of family, liberalization of sex behavior, of traditional family values. Now in representations of Russians the typical HIV-positive-a young childless and single man regardless of sexual orientation who is living in the large city, having an average special educations or being in process of its receiving whith level of income comparable to average one. The HIV-positive has been Infected as a result of a youth error (unprotected sexual contact or the intravenous use of drugs) and lives with this diagnosis several years, leads a risk-free life more often, at the same time usually hiding the diagnosis and separated from social communications. Existence of this diagnosis involves social trouble and the social not approved behavior, but if the disease affects the loved one, many Russians are potentially ready to give moral and psychological support (56%), financial support (including in purchase of drugs), the help in search of necessary experts and visit of the medical organizations (6,9%) and also to care for the HIV infected and their children (6%). According to authors, the widespread negative perception of people with "HIV-infection" diagnosis is in many respects caused by insufficient informing the population on HIV-infection/AIDS problems.

© AA Yaroshenko, NP Shok. The lessons learned from the last wars of the second half of the 19th to early 20th centuries influenced the organization of the troop command and control. The latest inventions, mass outbreaks of infectious diseases among the troops and the population of countries at war, as well as a number of other factors, led to changes in army management mechanisms. Given the experience gained from initial hostilities, the Russian government decided to review its approach to medical support for the field army and the organization of the medical supply system for troops. This was due to the unsatisfactory state of the Russian military-indus-trial complex at the beginning of World War I. At the beginning of the war, Russia was forced to seek help from France, Britain, the United States, and Japan, and to take urgent measures to expand its own production of medical equipment. Emergency measures were taken to facilitate the production of medical equipment on the territory of the Russian Empire. During the reign of Nicholas II, in June 1915, a Special council was set up. The council oversaw the activities of industrial enterprises that produced war supplies, distributed military orders between Russian and foreign factories and facilitated the opening of new ones. The Special council entrusted the provision of medical supplies for the Russian army to the Commission for the Revision of Sanitary and Medical Supply Standards, which was established on October 24, 1915. As a result of the work of the commission during the war, the medical support system for the troops was improved, production of domestic versions of medical equipment was established, the procedure for dispensing medical supplies was simplified, and standards were increased.

© 2018, Bionika Media Ltd. All rights reserved. The implementation of the INTERGROWTH-21st fetal growth and newborn size for gestation age standards into clinical practice in Russia were discussed and debated. The INTERGROWTH-21st Project was implemented in more than eight countries from 2009 to 2018. All study protocols and primary findings are available online (intergrowth21. org). Briefly, eight diverse urban populations living in demarcated geographical areas were selected where: environments were free from major known pollutants; altitude was less than 1600 m; most women accessed antenatal and delivery care in institutions; mean birth weight was greater than 3100 g; rates of low birth weight (< 2500 g) were less than 10%, and perinatal mortality was less than 20 per 1000 births. The INTERGROWTH-21st study comes as a high-quality response to the common dilemma of lack of standardization in fetal growth assessment. Its use should be encouraged among Russian specialists in maternal-fetal medicine, obstetricians and radiologists.
