Traditional rector’s meeting: open dialogue with the students

More than 200 students, residents and graduate students took part in the traditional New Year’s meeting on December 5, 2018. 
It was an open dialogue between the students and the University administration. There were 5 student moderators which supervised each discussion topics. 

The moderators brought to the discussion most student interest student issues, which were devoted to academic activities, research, clinical practice, and campus life.

In addition to the key topics the rector answered various questions. He summed up the discussion and congratulated everyone on the New Year-2019. At the end of the meeting there was award ceremony for the students who actively took part in social and cultural life of the University this year.


Alina Borisenkova, 5thyear student, Faculty of Medicine: 

«I was very excited and pleased to talk with the rector. Today's meeting has proved that Sechenov University is an excellent platform for implementation of the student ideas. Well, the award is as an excellent motivation to work on!" 

Maria Papieva, 5thyear student, Faculty of Preventive Medicine, Head, Sechenov Student Press Center:
"An open dialogue is regarded to be the new meeting format for both students and the University administration, but I am sure that such meetings unite and promote mutual understanding.”

Gregory Gololobov, 6th year student:

"The meeting was very productive. The rector answered key questions of concern to the majority of students and suggested direction for further work. This year was very important for both the University. There were many interesting events and conferences. For example, I was a speaker at the 29th World video-conference."
