The Sino-Russian School on Bioengineering and Mathematical Modeling: knowledge sharing & cross-cultural communication experience

Sechenov University hosted the first Sino-Russian School of Bioengineering and Mathematical Modeling on January 12-20, 2019. Sechenov University students studied in an intercontinental class together with the Russian colleagues from other universities and 10 Chinese students from Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT).

The School program was extremely rich and interesting: the students not only attended lectures, participated in workshops at the Department of Mathematics, Mechanics and Mathematical Modeling (Sechenov University), but also acquainted with the latest equipment achievements of the Institute of Regenerative Medicine (Sechenov University) and Moscow Center of Advanced Sport Technologies.

The School offered a broad curriculum and cultural program as well. All participants were grateful for gaining excellent knowledge in Biomedical Engineering & Mathematical Modeling, and cross-cultural communication experience.

"The Sino-Russian School became a great opportunity for me to get an unforgettable experience! I have learned how to create organs 3D-model; have tried to use testing methods for athletes. It helped me to understand that development of digital technologies in medicine is becoming increasingly important,” told Ms. Victoria Andreeva, 1st year student, International School "Medicine of the future" (Sechenov University).
