Experts of International Association for Communication in Healthcare introduced Skills Workshops at Sechenov University

Specialists of the International Association for Communication in Healthcare presented  workshops "Assessment of communication skills within the objective structured clinical examination (OSCE)" at the Methodical Сenter for Specialists Accreditation of Sechenov University on March 12-14, 2018. The event was organized for the Russian providers of simulation training in healthcare and clinical communication specialists of the higher medical education system.

The workshops were conducted by the following specialists of the international Association for Communication in Healthcare: Professor, MD, Mark Van Nuland (Academic Centre of General Practice, University of Leuven, Belgium) ; Ms. Sandra Winterburn (mentor of consultation skills at Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia) ; Ms. Kim Tailor (simulated patient)

Foreign experts introduced the Russian colleagues the principles of communication skills training, methodology & evidence base of practice-oriented training and clinical skills assessment of effective communication in the patient-centered concept in health care.The workshops were presented by a total immersion into the problem with the possibility for participants to pass communication stations with a simulated patient in the OSCE form.

Foreign colleagues expressed gratitude for the high-level organized event and the opportunity to cooperate with the Russian specialists.
