Dr. Marco Zeltner (Switzerland) presented a lecture on Soft Tissue Regeneration in Dentistry at Sechenov University on September 25, 2018.

The mechanisms of Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) have been successfully applied for decades and are considered to be an integral part of modern Implant Dentistry. Currently research activities are aimed at improving surgical techniques and developing new materials to facilitate treatment process and to reduce pain symptoms. 
Dr.  Zeltner gave a brief description of alveolar crest after tooth extraction and effectiveness of preventive procedures. Then he introduced the principles of GBR and gave an analysis of the choice of surgical techniques, materials and showed clinical examples of treatment results. The lecture was accompanied by dental images, computer models, rollers demonstrating surgery protocols.
