Sechenov University presented development program focused on the strategy of global competitiveness

On October 26-27, 2018 the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad hosted a meeting of the Council on Competitiveness Enhancement of the Russian Academic Excellence Project. During two days, 21 universities reported on the results and introduced their future development programs (the University’s roadmaps) to the Russian and foreign experts. 


The focus of the Sechenov University’s presentation was made on global talents management, knowledge and technology transfer in Life Sciences.
The target model of Sechenov University stimulates its transformation into a world-class University, with a balanced emphasis on multidisciplinary education, research and implementation of development projects in practical healthcare. Centers of Excellence lie within 3 platforms: Digital Health Management and Bioinformatics, Personalized Pharmacy, Biomaterials and Microfluidics. Sechenov University's multidisciplinary teams of Biomedical Park are developing a big data platform to identify high-risk groups, health consulting services and molecular nutrition and dietetics to develop preventive and diagnostic programs, new biomaterials, specialty pharmaceuticals and implantable smart devices to treat patients and promote active longevity.
