Firstly, the Russian representatives visited the largest Interdisciplinary Center ARTORG (the University of Bern) which carries out research in Bioengineering. They were shown the possibilities of the interdisciplinary laboratories where engineers together with the doctors work on projects to solve specific clinical problems. Besides that, E-learning medical system was demonstrated to Sechenov University’s delegates.
The commercialization issues of innovative technologies and the system of early involvement into biomedical academic entrepreneurship were discussed with Prof. Christoph Hock (Vice-President for Medicine of the University of Zurich). Professor Rolf Stahel (Director of the Cancer Research Center at the University Hospital of Zurich) presented the possibilities of the virtual Competence Center, which involves various specialists in individual cancer patient management.
Prof. Petr V. Glybochko welcomed Professor Rolf Stahel to visit Sechenov University (particularly, the Center for Personalized Oncology “Sechenov OncoTarget”) and also to participate in the Swiss-Russian Forum which will be held at Sechenov University in September, 2018. As a result of the meetings with leadership of the University of Zurich, agreements were reached on the development of international network projects and joint master degree programs which will be launched at Sechenov University this year.
