Institute of Pharmacy of Sechenov University has launched project of cooperation with the world's top universities, which are regarded as innovation leaders in pharmaceutical science and practice.


Within academic mobility programs the Institute of Pharmacy invites visiting professors from Paris Descartes University (France), Karolinska Institute (Sweden), University of Ulm (Germany) and other scientific & educational institutions. 

One of the first foreign professors was Prof. Roman Zubarev, head of the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Karolinska Institute (Sweden). He became professor of Pharmaceutical & Toxicological Chemistry Department. Prof. Zubarev gave the first lecture for students and academic staff of the Institute on May 24, 2018. It was devoted to application of mass spectrometry method in pharmaceutical practice and its research findings. 

Prof. Li Tianlong from Harbin Institute of Technology (China), Prof. Oleg Kurt from University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany), Prof. Zhiguang Wu from Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (Germany) will be the next foreign specialists to start working at the Institute of Pharmacy of Sechenov University.

Employment of foreign professors is the first step of improvement of the Institute of Pharmacy. It is also planned to create new modern laboratories, to attract international pharmaceutical companies (Bionorica, Merk, Sanofi, AstraZeneca), to develop the Botanical Garden of Sechenov University, to organize internships for undergraduates, postgraduates and academic staff.
