Dear colleagues, dear friends!

New Year, one of the most loved holidays in our country, is approaching. At this time, we traditionally take a look back at what we have done this year — and make plans for the future.

2021 has been a landmark year for Sechenov University. After successful completion of our work within the “5-100” Programme, we are embarking on a new large project — the State Programme of Strategic Academic Leadership “Priority 2030”. Our university has won in a competitive selection process to receive governmental support within “Priority 2030” through a “Research Leadership” special grant. In the next decade, Sechenov University will face serious, ambitious tasks, such as development and introduction into clinical practice of new drugs, bioproducts, and cutting-edge equipment. This project will concern all our activities — educational, scientific, and clinical. The new university development programme requires the involvement of all departments, clinics, and institutes of Sechenov University, and I very much look forward to your active participation. As a close-knit team, we will aim to transform Sechenov University into a world-class medical research university by 2030.

There are only a few hours left until New Year 2022. I wish you all a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas! I wish you to be in good health, to be prosperous, and to move forward! May the next year be the beginning of great success, achievements, and victories for all of us.
