Diplomatic relations between the USSR and Malaysia were established in 1967, and since then both countries have maintained contacts in various fields,particularly, in education.
Many Malaysian students enter Russian universities, most of them choose to study medicine.
Being a doctor is one of the most prestigious professions in Malaysia, and Russian universities offer high quality education in different fields of medicine.
In addition, there are several Russian medical universities, where diplomas are recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council. And one of such universities is Sechenov University.
It means that a graduate can immediately start a medical practice as soon as he/shereturns to Malaysia. He/she just need to register at the Malaysian Medical Council. If the University is not included in this list , the graduate should apply for diploma recongnition and pass a proficiency exam in Malaysia.
