Three colorectal surgeons of Sechenov University took part in the international conference which was held in Beijing (China) on August 31-September 2, 2018. The conference included several significant events: the first International NOSES Symposium, the third National Cancer Center Colorectal Cancer International Forum, and the third Chinese Medical Doctor Association Colorectal Cancer Committee Annual Meeting. The event gathered more than 2,500 participants from China, India, Korea, and some European countries. World experts demonstrated modern surgical approaches to the treatment of colorectal cancer. Dr. Petr Tsarkov, Director of the Clinic for Coloproctology and Minimally Invasive Surgery, together with Dr. Petr Tsuguley, head of the Department of Coloproctology, and Dr. Sergey Efetov, performed live laparoscopic anterior resection for colorectal cancer.

Prof. Tsarkov commented: "According to the Chinese experts, the live surgery has demonstrated a good level of the Russian surgeons in treatment of colorectal cancer. Overall, such events along with educational activities are aimed at improving national level for colorectal cancer surgical treatment."
