First graduates of Master’s program “Entrepreneur in Biomedicine” received diplomas at Sechenov University

Seven graduates of the institute of Pharmacy have received their master’s degrees in the first-ever graduation of the “Entrepreneur in Biomedicine” program.

Launched in 2023 by Sechenov University together with Tomsk State University, the program combines scientific knowledge with entrepreneurial skills. Delivered in a part-time format, the course lasts two and a half years and offers a personalized learning path tailored to each student’s goals. Lectures are given by experts from major pharmaceutical companies as well as specialists from the Skolkovo International Medical Cluster and Sberbank.

Galina Ramenskaya, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, and Director of the Institute of Pharmacy, congratulated the graduates on this new stage in their professional lives.

“We tried to give you every opportunity to turn your ideas into reality and to build even more ambitious plans,” she said. “People who enroll in programs like this are ambitious from the start and never stop at just one stage. Keep moving forward, do not be afraid of ideas that may seem impossible. We will be happy to continue working with you in other formats—as colleagues and partners. Now it is our turn to learn from you.”

The graduates presented their final projects, all focused on practical applications and social impact. Topics ranged from a service for people with diabetes to innovative medical materials designed to stop bleeding.
