Dr KIRILL POLYAKOV

Biography

Kirill Polyakov graduated from the Sechenov University and went on to continue his postgraduate studies at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and the Clinic of Maxillofacial Surgery of the Sechenov University. In 2010, he successfully defended his PhD thesis, combining his clinical work with academic research and faculty teaching. In the field of maxillofacial surgery Dr Polyakov was mainly dealing with inflammation and acute trauma. Since 2003 he has also been focusing on outpatient surgery, mainly being interested in complex dental implantation and bone tissue regeneration. Currently, Dr Polyakov treats patients with medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws (MRONJ, BRONJ, ARONJ), supervises the work of a clinical staff group, and serves as the deputy director for Science of the Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic. As a member of the European Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeons, ICOI, StAR (Dental Association of Russia), he regularly lectures at international events. Dr. Polyakov is a Key Opinion Leader for one of the well-known dental implantation systems.
