Dr FABIO I. M. POPPI

Biography

Dr Fabio I. M. Poppi received a BSc and MSc in Social Psychology from the University of Trieste (Italy) and a MA in Sociocultural Linguistics from Goldsmiths College, University of London (United Kingdom). In 2017, he completed his PhD in Linguistics and Communication studies at the UEA (United Kingdom) with a thesis on Multimodal Metaphors and Ideology. From 2019, Dr Poppi works as Associate Professor at Sechenov University in the Institute of Linguistics and Intercultural Сommunication.

Social cognition; Language and ideology; Discourse studies and narrative analysis; Art and film studies; Pragmatics and multimodal communication; Social media interaction

Teaching

Dr Poppi teaches course on Methods of Linguistic Research in English in the Institute of Linguistics and Intercultural Сommunication.
