The III International Scientific Conference in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care: effective methods to reduce clinical risks

PHOTO_2019_02_19_10_24_15.jpgThe III International Scientific Forum "Medical Errors, Risks and Complications in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care" brought together more than 1000 participants from the Russian regions, CIS countries and China. It was hosted by Sechenov University on February 15-16, 2019. 


The Chinese participants were represented by the delegation from Harbin Medical University led by Prof. Wang Guonian, Vice-President of Harbin Cancer Hospital; Prof. Han Fei, Vice-President of the Department for Anesthesiology and Pain of Harbin Cancer Hospital, Prof. Zou Huichao, Deputy Director of the Department of Anesthesia; and Dr. Li Liu, Ass. Prof. of the Department for Anesthesiology of Harbin Cancer Hospital,Secretary of the Association of Sino-Russian Medical Universities.
Its main focus was put on analysis of Medical Errors, Risks and Complications of Anesthesia and Intensive Care in Surgery, Pediatrics and Obstetrics.
The topics touched upon during the two-day event included clinical challenges of septic shock, neuropsychic complications following anesthesia, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, hemostasis, pulmonary complications in cardiac surgery, antibiotic resistance, and patient monitoring. The Forum has shown that anesthesiologists and intensivists seeking for the new and more effective methods to reduce clinical risks.
