March 25. The amphitheatre of Preventive Medicine Faculty was hardly capable of accommodating the college entrants-to-be with their parents in front of the Admission Committee officers, deans and professors. 
Literally crowds of people visited First MSMU during these two days to discover the range of educational opportunities of the University and to get some hints facilitating successful admission. The Preparatory Department dean Maxim Maximov admits that each year the events of such a kind attract even more visitors. Thus, the most conservative estimate indicates that over 5000 of school-leavers with their parents came here on March 25-26. 
The Admission Committee, executive secretary Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Tatiana Litvinova, deputy executive secretaries of the Admission Committee, Dmitry Morozov and Ivan Kupriyanov, as well as Marina Kinkulkina, Dean of Medicine Faculty addressed to the audience. The presentation movie accentuates the significance of the First MSMU role in the domestic medical education and highlights the current achievements of the University. In particular, the entrants were once more notified that the applicants for Dentistry and Pediatrics will have to take additional specialty tests set by the University; that individual academic achievements are meant to be taken into account when calculating the fair grade; that this year enrollment will not be partitioned as before, thus, 80% of the government-subsidized options will be filled after the very first stage of the admission period. The other innovation is the “enrollment consent” for two specialties to be submitted in two copies. 
The Admission Committee officers repeatedly emphasized that the only, reliable, complete and timely updated information on admission to Sechenov First MSMU is posted at the University’s website in the Admission section. Using other sources is not advisable.
