Sechenov University’s Institute of Digital Medicine has tested the universal robot UR3e, the Danish pioneer of collaborative robots.

The table-top robot is suitable for relatively simple operations and can be used in workplace automation within the healthcare system. It opens up opportunities for deep learning based on artificial intelligence technologies.

Sechenov University has tested this high-tech device. Without any prior training the scientists of the Institute of Digital Medicine together with the specialists of Universal Robots Company conducted robot programming on external device, and then demonstrated possibilities of ultrasound examination. Moreover, they consider possibility of creating a robotic ultrasound system assisted by UR3 which can be used to promote telemedicine technologies.

According to the Universal Robots Company, the robotic device UR3e  earlier has been tested in Norway.
