Sechenov University will host the International School in Operative Surgery and Clinical Anatomy on April 15-17, 2019!

The School will be aimed at development of competences that are necessary for a Doctor of the Future who has decided to become a surgeon. Students will be active members of a surgical team and will participate in daily routine of surgical wards. They will attend practical seminars devoted to blood transfusion technique, wound healing, as well as workshops of the University Simulation Center. 

During the elective, the participants will follow patients from admission through diagnostics to operation, including visits and assistance in the operating theatre. They will become active members of the Surgical Team and participate in the daily routine on the Surgical Wards.

Furthermore, the School participants will attend practical seminars, devoted to blood transfusion technique, wound healing, as well as workshops in the University Simulation Center (USC) and learn from physicians in small-group settings. There'll be an opportunity to learn how to perform such procedures as nasogastric intubation, orotracheal intubation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as train endo- and laparoscopic procedures on the specially designed simulators.
