Japanese colleagues are interested in academic mobility with Sechenov University

Sechenov University’s vice-rector for Healthcare V. Fomin, head of the Research Center of Hybrid Technology S. Ternovoy, head of the International Office O. Sadkovaya, met with the delegation of International University of Health and Welfare (Totigi, Japan) on September 13, 2017.
The Japanese delegation was presented by Dr. Takagi Kuniori (University rector), Hiroko Tagaki (the University’s Board Guardian), Mika Yamazaki (executive director of personnel department), Akira Quzuki (head of the International Affairs Department).
During the meeting V. Fomin told about the history of Sechenov University and the clinical practice. He expressed hope for further favorable cooperation between Japanese institutions and Sechenov University in the framework of academic mobility. Prof. Fomin emphasized that clinical site of the University gives a unique opportunity to integrate best practices in various fields (including medical rehabilitation, which is one of top-priority fields in the Russian Federation).
Dr. Takagi Kuniori presented International University of Health and Welfare, informed about the high level of the University clinics. It was proposed that the Japanese international cluster would be established with support of Japanese Prime-minister Shingzo Abe.
The representatives of the International University of Health and Welfare visited Russian-Japanese Center for Cardiac Imaging (Sechenov University). They expressed hope for further collaboration between Sechenov University and Japanese colleagues.
