Important notice to international students

Important notice to international students Sechenov University aims to organise classes for its foreign students in a number of ways that can suit everyone.

Sechenov University is continuously committed to delivering the highest-quality education to all its students. International applicants are always welcome — even during the coronavirus pandemic when travelling is difficult and many borders remain closed. The issues related to the recruitment of foreign students and organisation of their studies in the new academic year have been discussed on 4 September 2020 by Professor Petr Glybochko, Rector of Sechenov University, at a meeting with Valery Falkov, Russia’s Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Sechenov is introducing a system for remote studying for its international students. For those who choose to attend in person, the University will offer online lectures, while practicals will take place on campus. Thanks to these measures, we hope to avoid large crowds in lecture halls, which is a key priority for the prevention of the coronavirus infection spread among the students and staff.

Foreign students will be able to enter Russia and start their studies at Sechenov when official permission to do so is given by Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. We will inform our students about the next steps.
